Screen solutions tailored to Pace homes and weather

Homeowners in Pace deal with a very specific mix of screen issues that come from living near the Escambia River and the upper end of Pensacola Bay. Between the long humid summers, frequent afternoon thunderstorms, and the occasional tropical system, screens on porches, patios, and pool cages take a beating. At Superior Screens Pensacola, the calls we get from Pace most often involve wind-torn panels after summer storms, mildew staining in shady backyards, and bug infiltration around patios that back up to wooded areas.

Pace has a wide range of residential styles, from established brick ranch homes built in the 80s and 90s to newer subdivisions with two story homes and backyard pools. Many of these properties have original builder-grade screen enclosures that were never updated to handle years of strong sun, high humidity, and pollen from the surrounding pine trees. That combination leads to brittle screen mesh, sagging panels, and rusted fasteners that make an enclosure look older than the rest of the home. We focus on bringing those structures up to the standard that Pace homeowners expect when they remodel kitchens, upgrade roofs, or add outdoor living spaces.

Because Pace sits just inland from the coast, wind uplift and driving rain are real concerns. Screens that are not tensioned correctly or that use the wrong spline and framing can pull loose when those late summer storms roll through Santa Rosa County. Superior Screens Pensacola evaluates how your enclosure faces prevailing winds, how much open yard you have, and how close you are to tree lines or open fields. That local knowledge shapes the materials and patterns we recommend so your screens hold up better through the storm season.

We also understand how much Pace residents use their outdoor areas almost year round. Whether it is a pool enclosure behind a newer home or a simple screened porch on an older property, most customers want cross-breeze without letting in the heavy mosquito population that comes with nearby wetlands and retention ponds. Our team designs and installs screen systems that balance airflow and durability so your outdoor space is comfortable during those hot, humid evenings when you want to sit outside without swatting bugs every few seconds.

Screen installation for pools, patios, lanais, and porches in Pace

Superior Screens Pensacola provides complete screen installation for the most common outdoor spaces found around Pace. Pool enclosure installation is one of our most requested services in newer neighborhoods where homeowners are adding backyard pools. We design aluminum frame pool cages that meet Florida code requirements and take into account your deck layout, roofline, and landscaping. This helps prevent issues like water blowing in through the top sections or leaves piling up in corners because the cage design did not match the way the wind moves across your yard.

For existing concrete patios or covered lanais, we install patio screening systems that turn open slabs into usable outdoor rooms. Many Pace homes have a simple covered area off the back door that was left open by the builder. By adding screened walls, custom doors, and pet-friendly features, we turn that space into a bug-free area for morning coffee or evening gatherings. We pay close attention to how the sun tracks across the back of your home so we can recommend screen types that reduce glare during certain times of day.

Lanai screen enclosures are especially popular in Pace because they provide outdoor living space without the full cost of room additions. We can build new lanai enclosures or extend existing ones to line up with your pool or deck. Our installations use framing and fastening systems that stand up to the expansion and contraction caused by high daytime temperatures and cooler nights, which helps reduce creaks, rattles, and loose panels over time.

If you are looking to create a screened porch or room enclosure on an older brick home, we can usually work with the existing slab and roof structure. Our team measures carefully, then fabricates frames that tie into your current fascia and columns. Screens are chosen for insect control and privacy levels that make sense for Pace lots, whether your backyard faces another house, a wooded buffer, or open pasture. The goal is to make the new enclosure look like it has always been part of the house, not an obvious add-on.

Screen repair and rescreening for Pace’s climate and pests

Repair work is a major part of what Superior Screens Pensacola does in Pace. The combination of strong sun, chlorine from pools, and frequent rainfall means that even quality screen material eventually wears out. Many calls start with a single corner pulling loose, a pet clawing at a lower panel, or small tears near doorways where kids run in and out. We handle screen repair and partial rescreening so you do not have to replace an entire enclosure when only a few panels are damaged.

Pool cage rescreening is especially common in Pace for enclosures that are 10 to 15 years old. The mesh may still be intact but has become discolored, brittle, or stretched. We remove the old screen, replace damaged spline and hardware, and upgrade to screen material that performs better against UV light and mildew. This is important in Pace where lingering humidity after storms can promote algae and mold on surfaces that never fully dry in shaded areas.

Patio and lanai screen repair addresses issues like loose door closers, torn kick panels where pets push against the bottom of doors, and gaps where frames have shifted slightly over time. Instead of patching with mismatched material, we use screen that blends well with your existing panels, or we rescreen entire walls when that provides a better long-term result. For many Pace homeowners, this type of work is timed with repainting or pressure washing, so the screened area feels like a refreshed extension of the home.

In neighborhoods near wooded tracts or water, small insects and no-see-ums can squeeze through older, larger mesh. We can replace those panels with tighter weave screen in targeted locations, such as seating areas and dining spaces, while keeping standard mesh in roof panels for airflow. This approach respects how Pace properties are laid out and how families actually use their outdoor areas, instead of applying a one-size-fits-all solution.

Our team also looks for underlying causes when we repair. If a particular side of your pool enclosure keeps losing panels after strong winds, we study the framing, the type of spline, and how debris impacts that section. Fixing those issues reduces repeat repairs, which saves money over time and keeps your outdoor space available when you need it most.

Our process and why Pace homeowners choose Superior Screens Pensacola

Every project with Superior Screens Pensacola in Pace starts with an on-site evaluation. We walk your property, look at how close your neighbors are, measure exposure to afternoon sun, and note where water tends to stand after heavy rain. These local factors influence not only what screen materials we suggest, but also how we design doors, support beams, and roof sections for pool and lanai enclosures.

During the planning phase, we discuss how you and your family use your outdoor spaces. Some Pace homeowners want a quiet, shaded porch for relaxation, while others focus on creating a kid friendly pool area that keeps out insects and yard debris. We recommend specific mesh types, frame colors, and door hardware that fit those goals, rather than pushing a single package for every home. Because we work extensively in the Pace and greater Pensacola area, we know what holds up over multiple storm seasons and what tends to fail too soon.

Installation is handled by experienced crews who are familiar with Florida building practices and the particular soil and slab conditions common in Pace subdivisions. We secure frames and doors so they align properly with existing foundations, which helps prevent binding doors and uneven gaps in future years. Throughout the process, we keep the work area organized and aim to minimize disruption to lawns, landscaping, and pool decks.

For repairs and rescreening jobs, we schedule within realistic windows that take into account local weather patterns and afternoon thunderstorm likelihood. We communicate clearly about timing so you know when your patio, lanai, or pool cage will be back in full use. Our goal is to deliver work that looks clean and professional, with tight screens, straight lines, and hardware that functions smoothly.

If you live in Pace and your screens are torn, sagging, or simply not performing the way you need, contact Superior Screens Pensacola today. Whether you want a new pool enclosure, a screened porch or room enclosure, or reliable screen repair and rescreening, we are ready to evaluate your space and provide a solution built for Pace’s climate and lifestyle.
